Racing: Poplar Regatta
Good luck to our M1 boat today as they race in the IV+ and the VIII divisions at Poplar. Hopefully they'll come back with some nice new pots to show off to everyone!
I've pretty much updated the site as much as I can with the information I've been given, so thanks to Mo for the M1 crew list. I still haven't got anything on the girls' boats, or M3, so they're going to stay empty until someone decided to share the roster with me. Also, any upcoming events can be added to the calender by boatclub members (I think) so add them yourselves, or send me an email to tell me what it is and when and I can add it for you.
General: Update
The site's now been updated to accomodate small boats in the race reports and events. You can even add yourself as a sculler in the crew listing as well if you want.. I'll eventually get round to filling in all the crew lists, but I can only do the ones I know so if coaches/captains can get the crew lists to me it would be very helpful.
Ciao for now
General: May Term 2008
So May term is now fully underway and all the boats have been set. M1 have got underway with their Henley Qualifying campaign, with regattas at Poplar and Marlow in the coming weeks, while M2 and M3 and well on track to some bumps success (we hope!).
W1, in their shiny new boat, are in full swing too, with a W2 crew progressing alongside. This should all lead to a strong bumps this term for the ladies.
I hope to update the website with all the correct crews and upcoming races/events, so if the men's and women's captains could email me the crew roster that would be great.
New Term
As is always the case with a Michaelmas term, Fitz BC is busy with novices, so the website has been somewhat neglected. We do aim to update the site soon, so please bear with us!Login / Registration Now Working
Thanks to the Computing Service's over zealous security measures, the login and registration system was offline for some of the past week. This has since been fixed, so if you tried to log in and got a strange error message (or alternatively nothing happened) then please try again now.
Racing: Small Boats Regatta
The draw for the Small Boats Regatta was released in the last few hours. Fitz is well represented in most categories, and looking particularly strong in the Women's Lowe Double Sculls - with 50% of the entrants.
Those that are interested can see the draw, in tree form sorted by event, by clicking here.
Good luck to all those racing.
Men's Rowing this Term
Anyone who wishes to row or cox a men's boat this term needs to contact Andy Watson so he can organise trials and get everything sorted before the beginning of term. Boat Club members can look at the mailing list forum for more information.General: New Captain of Boats
Due to other commitments Charlie Butler has stepped down from the roles of Captain of Boats and Men's Captain. In his place, Andy Watson will take over both positions until the end of the Easter term at which point a new Captain will be elected to serve a full term. Congratulations to Andy on his appointment, we're all looking forward to a successful term with him at the helm.General: New Boat Club Website
